
Hamish graduated with a commerce degree in 1994 and then a law degree in 1997, both from Victoria University in Wellington.

Hamish has been a practising lawyer since 1999.
​
Hamish worked for a number of law firms throughout New Zealand for 11 years. He had a law practice in Levin for a number of years, and commenced this law practice in Tauranga in 2016.
​
Hamish currently specialises in family law matters including; care and contact of children, care and protection of children, matters involving Oranga Tamariki, family violence, orders under PPPR Act. He also provides advice on estate and succession planning including wills and powers of attorney.
​
Hamish is Lead Provider for family and civil legal aid. He has been a member of the Family Law Section for many years.
​
Hamish enjoys giving back to the community and has volunteered at Baywide Community Law Centre as a supervisor.
​
In his personal time Hamish enjoys spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys reading and running.
